At PriviCare, we understand that building trust may take time when you bring a Support Worker into your life. This is why we recommend having a matched carer who can regularly assist you to establish familiarity. We also know how important it is to maintain your independence — that’s why we provide a range of daily support services for clients living with a disability to help you continue to live life your way. Our personal care staff make sure that participants receive useful and adequate assistance and care to ensure their daily needs are met.
At PriviCare, our person centred approach means that we work with each individual participant to assist them in building their capacity to lead independent lives.
There are many ways in which we can assist you to develop new skills, whether it’s around the home, out in the community, or preparing you to join the workforce.
With our disability home support services, our team can help with all those jobs in and around your home to ensure it remains clean and tidy, giving you more time to do the things you enjoy that matter to you.
Our in-home aged and physical disability support services staff can also take some of the load off home carers, giving you more quality time with your loved ones. PriviCare offers assistance with daily living to help you maintain a good quality of life at home.
Supported Independent Living (SIL) offers a professional support worker which can help you carry out daily chores. The goal is to assist participants in honing their abilities to live independently. We offer NDIS Supported Independent Living service for NDIS participants who require ongoing care, usually 24 hours a day, to live on their own. Our support can take the shape of shared living where people live in a group, or living independently in the participant’s home, with the assistance of getting required personal support from our team. As one of the top NDIS SIL providers in Melbourne, Privicare is here to help!
1. Becoming self-sufficient:
Moving into your own space helps you make independent decisions and live the life you want. However, what if you require assistance to live independently? Privicare has skilled and trained professionals who can assist you with:
As an SIL provider, when you get support from us, you have the independence that you desire with a reliable support worker to help you if you need it. Of course, your family and friends are welcome to visit you at any time!
2. Liberty and security:
Everyone must strike a balance between freedom and safety. While you will share the common spaces of the house with the other residents, your new bedroom will be your sanctuary. You will have the flexibility to arrange and decorate it as you see fit. A minimum of one support staff is on-site 24 hours a day to assist the residents. Our support workers are trained in reacting to emergencies and protecting the safety of house members.
3. Required assistance:
While you may be excited about your new house and independence, you may also be concerned about being away from your family or caregiver. Everyone who moves out of their parents’ house requires time to build life skills and confidence. Our team is not only there to assist you with practical duties but also to listen to you, understand your priorities, and help you accomplish your life goals.
Supported living services are flexible and sometimes better values for money than the alternatives. However, the care must be provided by an accredited home care service provider like Privicare in Melbourne.
At Privicare, our support workers assist NDIS participants. We provide a compassionate environment and are there to help with your everyday duties. This enables individuals to have a meaningful life, attain their objectives, become active members in their communities, strengthen their abilities and increase their self-confidence.
